About the festival
A poetic city festival!
Note the date! On Saturday 9 & Sunday 10 June 2018 we once again invite people of all ages to this spectacular start of the summer season, and in one of the nicest green spaces in Brussels: Forest Park. More than 30 Brussels organisations join forces to set up the fifth edition of this exciting and enchanting children's art festival.
It is going to be a day full of magical surprises. Expect more than 50 performances and workshops by both international troupes as well as more local groups. Prepare yourself for acrobatics, dance, street theater, music, the toddlers corner, magical interventions by artists, crazy animation, opportunities to build, handicrafts, (day)dreaming, picnics and play time.
Entry is free, the festival is open air, most of the programmed events are in French and/or Dutch and we offer different cozy summer bars!
Sustainable City Festival
SuperVliegSuperMouche stands for a sustainable city festival. Both the organisation as well as the realisation of the festival guarantees a great respect for nature, a fruitful collaboration with the district and focus on social emancipation. From a local perspective we aim to reach as big an audience as possible.
The festival is the result of social, cultural and artistic partnerships predominantly located in Forest and Saint-Gilles. For the scenography mostly recycled materials are used.
Food stands and trucks are social or local initiatives and our Superbuvette functions as a fair trade bar. Picnics are allowed, free water is provided and food and drinks are offered at reasonable prices.
We're making Brussels fly!
SuperVliegSuperMouche is more than one day of festival fun. In the run up to the festival we are organising a bundle of activities in different social and cultural organisations, in the neighbourhood of the park and within quite som toddler and primary schools around the park.
